For the first time ever, Orlando Pirates has launched a Presenter Search for its fast-growing online platform, PiratesTV. We are on the hunt to uncover vibrant, creative individuals with a passion for presenting.
Television presenting is not just about being in the spotlight, it’s a career that demands hard work and dedication.
You have to be an outgoing personality, a natural in front of the camera, and comfortable interviewing players, the technical team, as well as the broader Orlando Pirates community.
Role Responsibility
The PiratesTV presenter’s core hours will be Monday-Friday but depending on where the stories and events are, will be needed to travel and cover content at short notice.
We expect our presenter to be a creator and be fully involved with the digital teams and production process – from reactive ideas meetings through to delivery of the content.
The ideal candidate will be required to come up with ideas, bring in stories, carry out pre-recorded interviews and occasionally make podcasts and host live streamed content on social platforms.
How to Enter
To enter, simply record a one-minute video, showcasing your talent and send it to the Club.
In the video, be sure to introduce yourself, mentioning your name, surname and location, and tell us what unique qualities you are looking to bring to PiratesTV.
Once done, share your video via WhatsApp on 079 PIRATES (747 2837), using the hashtag #PiratesPresenterSearch.
The deadline for entries is midnight, 31 March 2021.
Candidates will be contacted by WhatsApp and invited for another round of auditions.
The Presenter Search will broadcast through a five-episode series beginning on 1 March, culminating with a live grand finale where two ultimate winners will be announced.
