Following player movement during the off-season, Orlando Pirates Football Club can now confirm the squad numbers of the team to date. The majority of players have retained their numbers from the previous campaign with the exception of a few who have jumped at the opportunity to grab the recently vacated numbers.
Such as defender Olisa Ndah, who has relinquished the jersey number 49 for number 6 – a number he has worn before for the Super Eagles. While Makhehlene Makhaula moves from number 16 to jersey number 8. That jersey number 16 will now be worn by Thalente Mbatha who has since made his move permanent having spent the second half of the 2023/24 season on loan.
In terms of the new signings, Gilberto has been assigned jersey number 11. While Selaelo Rasebotja will wear number 31.
